Blog Post Week #9
1. What did you do in lab today?
- In lab this week, we focused on the timeline of our planet. Something that was very helpful was creating a timeline where we were instructed to put different moments in history along it. The model was scaled down but it helped me understand how long the planet has been around, compared to how long humans have been on the planet which was a crazy concept for me!
2. What was the big question?
The big question was, How has our planet changed geographically over time? What did that process look like?
3. What did you learn in Thursday's discussion?
- We had our exam this week.
Textbook Chapter 15
1. What did you learn?
- Something I learned about in the reading was that the creating of the moon was about 4527Ma. I also learned that at least three tie sin our history, the earth was covered in ice. This is called snowball earth.
2. What was most helpful?
- The most helpful part of the chapter was the continental drift. It is fascinating to learn about how the land on our earth was all connected and you can see that the way our continents are shaped, they could fit together like a puzzle.
3. What do you need more information on?
- Something I need more information on would be Pangaea. I am having a hard time understanding how we haven't shifted more over time.
1. What questions, concerns, and/or comments do you have?
- I do not have any questions at this time!
